After a very long California “winter” (which is, of course, no Swedish winter, but still grey and a bit cold) I finally feel like the summer is here and that it is here to stay! We Started the official summer with a perfect evening on the beach in Newport. Because what better way to spend a summer night than having a bonfire on the beach? Gathering friends and family to have a barbecue on the beach. Barbecuing hamburgers, hot dogs and of course end the night with making S’more? It was the perfect way to start the summer!
As a graphic designer, I love being creative and work on design projects. I also like being creative in other ways such as photography. I often bring my camera and just take photos of elements around me, making common elements beautiful. One of my favorite places to enjoy and also to take photos of is the ocean/ the beach. There is nothing more relaxing or beautiful than the beach and the ocean. It expresses a combination of peacefulness and emptiness combined with motion and infinity.
Sometimes it is nice to get away and go somewhere just to relax and really recharge. That is what we wanted to do this past weekend, so we decided to do a little getaway to Carmel. Even though it is a popular place to go and visit it is very quiet, calm and relaxing. Even the colder foggy weather makes everything feel so calm. We just slept in, ate a bunch of good food and walked around in Down Town Carmel. Exactly what we needed 🙂
Today my friend and I who are working on an exciting project together had some meetings in Downtown Los Angeles. So When that happens, that we have to run around a little bit all day we get the opportunity to find and try new places to work remotely from. During this last six month, we have spent more time in DTLA than usual, and we have found a couple of favorite spots to get some work done 🙂 Places that has great coffee, wifi, and good work atmosphere. Some of our tops choose to go to are Don Francisco’s, The Verve Cafe and Bottega Louie. The Verve Cafe is a quiet, cozy coffee shop with beautiful green walls. The Don Francisco’s Coffee located in the Spring Arcade Building is a beautifully designed coffee shop and great to get a bunch of work done, Lastly, if we want to go a bit fancier, Bottega Louie is a perfect place for a macaroon, cappuccino and getting some work done.
